Love under the Sun

What makes me feel like
I wake up to a sunset
When it’s just another morning
And I ask the sun if we ever met.

What does it make me feel like?

The bar across the windows
Grilled and steamed below the rays
Black routine through the day
Yet the suns ruly brightness said it’s just a phase

The colours before her
Turned from the morning to brunch
Clouds strolled until they cleared my sight
She was lovely until she was unwanted, hon.

I’m shy, darlin’, shy.
Forever, incomplete.
Maybe you are perfect.
Wait, are you perfect?
Sorry, either way, I deserve the colours in the middle.
Uncertainty on either sides.

What makes me feel like
I haven’t slept for days
And when I sleep in the morning
I ask if I care we ever met
Before I even knew about the sun rays.

What does it make me feel like?
