This Silent Night

Silhouette of my fears is this silent night
Dancing away from the candle lights
Out upon the streets
Tip toeing its way across the city
Watching me

Hiding behind dolls and under the carpet
Ready to pounce upon my dreams
Sleep will pay heed to them
So woke must I be to stay still,
Observe my solitude than they consume me unconscious

Anxious to leave open doors
And chances of a swift breeze or hint of taste
The scream and shrills of the silence
Will prick deep within my bones, Echo through my brittle being
And shatter me into oblivion

I look away,
As long as my bloodshot eyes and pale feet
Can endure this frigid empty air of fright.
